I have been employed in the spine work group at the
Department of Orthopaedic Research and Biomechanics Research (Abteilung für Unfallchirurgische Forschung und Biomechanik), University of Ulm
.
There I programmed the universal spine tester. The software of the universal
spine tester in the first version was developed on an Atari TT, which
has then been replaced by a PC, becaus the performance went down with
more complex algorithms in controlling and measurements. For this reason
the the the port on PC in C as programming language has been decided.
From this port a complete new rewrite of the software followed.
Before this I have been in the knee-joint group, where I did the
programming of the knee-joint simulator, until this software was ported
on Apple Macintosh with LabView as programming language.
Besides the programming I have looked for the hardware of the
universal spine tester and teached the users.
